For the fourth time in a row, the annual Book Fair for Children was organized under the auspices of "Politika- Newspapers and Magazines". The "Politika" Book Fair was opened by the general director Srdjan Janićijević.

Serbian president Boris Tadić visited the fair, as has US ambassador Michael Polt and other guests of the School of Friendship.
This non-commercial Book Fair was organized for the first time during the commemoration of 100 years of "Politika", and has remained a tradition within the School of Friendship with
the goal of bringing children closer to literature. All the books, and thousands were distributed during the present and previous Schools of Friendship, remain in the hands of the children. "Politika", Serbia's oldest and most respected publisher, used its influence to convince other publishers to donate some of their important works to the fair and further the cause of providing the most valuable gift of all to the children - knowledge.
"Politika" Awards
As the principal sponsor of the Fair, "Politika" awarded prizes for the best authors in journalism, prose, poetry and illustration created during the School of Friendship.
