The ninth School of Friendship has succssesfully ended and it has brought a lot of joy to all its participants. The general sponsor of the School of Friendship is Banca Intesa and this year’s Friend Country is Spain.

This summer also, in the „Beli bor“ hotel of the Military Institution „Tara“, „Nasa Srbija“ has gathered the children included in our aid programs. According to the program of „Nasa Srbija“ which is especially aimed to the children who live in our south county, like previous years, the participants of the School of Friendship were children from Serbian enclaves in Kosovo and Metohia. This program is based on the psychosocial support, and it is realized through children's collective participation in educational and sport workshops with various contents.
Children had an opportunity to participate in the school of school of ethnology and weaving, school of painting and sculpting, school of music, school acting, school of ecology, school of computers, scouting school, as well as school of sports: basketball, football, valleyball and rhythmic gymnastics. The program was realized by the professional team of „Nasa Srbija“ headed by Gordana Gavrilovic, the director of the School of Friendship.

As the particular part of the School of Friendship, in the period from July 31 to August 6, it was realized our fourth multiethnic seminar “Days of Friendship” under the patronage of the Executive Council of Vojvodina. The participants of this seminar were children of eight various nationalities from all parts of Serbia: Serbian, Albanian, Hungarian, Bosnian, Bulgarian, Slovakian, Ruthenian and Romanian.

This summer everything was in the spirit of Spain, the Friend Country of this year’s School of Friendship. It was also organized the Day of Spain within the children have learnt a lot about this friend country. Besides the workshops and sport activities, it was organized various entertainment program for the children, the “Politika’ children book fair, music concerts, all this along with companionship and lots of time spent in the nature.

During their stay on the Tara Mountain children had chance to meet the President of Serbia Boris Tadic, our gold water polo players Vanja Udovicic, Filip Filipovic and Milan Aleksic, Tatjana Tadic, the patroness of several projects and activities of “Nasa Srbija”, Draginja Djuric, the president of the executive board of Banca Intesa, the

Minister for Kosovo and Metohia Goran Bogdanovic,, episcope of Lipljan Teodosije, the vice president of the Serbian Govrnement and the Minister of Internal Affaires Ivica Dacic, Minister for Education Zarko Obradovic, the Ambassador of Spain Inigo de Palacio Espana, the Ambassador of Cyprus Homer Mavrommatis, the Ambassador of PR of China Wei Jinghua, as well as lots of friends and benefactors of children of “Nasa Srbija”.
