The School of Friendship is the crown of the whole-year work of “Naša Srbija” and it joins all activities of the organization. It is the project realized every summer since 2001 and its main goal is to gather children included in aid programs of “Naša Srbija” and children who live in Serbian enclaves in Kosovo and Metohia.

The School of Friendship arisen from the idea of “Naša Srbija” to treat needs and problems of the children included in our aid programs and to develop wide spectrum of interactive educational and creative activities, as well as games and amusement, adjusted to the children’s stature which all stimulate child development.

This program is based on the psychosocial support and it is realized through children’s collective participation in various educational, creative, sport and recreational workshops.

The peculiarity of the School of Friendship is the concept of learning through friendship, playing, creativity, revelation of own interests and potentials. Joining the different aspects of working with children, School of Friendship offers children the wide choice of the activities. All this is conceived with the aim of gaining knowledge and experience in the area of ecology, ethnology, language, songs and dances, sports, journalism, painting and sculpturing, acting, world of computers. Project is realizing by the professional team of “Naša Srbija”. The program of the School of Friendship is enriched by the visits of renowned individuals from our public, cultural and sport life.

For children from the most endangered Serbian enclaves in Kosovo and Metohia participation in the School of Friendship on the Tara Mountain is one of the rare opportunities to safely spend their time, move freely in friendly and beautiful surrounding and to have rest from everyday problems they facing with.

The integrative part of the School of Friendship program is the project Multiethnic seminar “Days of Friendship”. The participants of this seminar are children of Serbian, Hungarian, Bulgarian, Slovakian, Ruthenian, Romanian, Bosnian and Albanian nationality from all parts of Serbia. Themes of the seminar are tolerance and multicultural differences, and its aim is to promote the values of multiethnic and multicultural tolerance, contribution to building and development of modern democratic society.
